Senior Adults Program

Adults aged 60 and older are invited to participate in MCC's Senior Center, which is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The program provides health, recreation, and nutrition services that help elderly adults remain healthy, physically independent, and connected to the community.

MCC ’s Senior Adults Program specializes in services to elderly Southeast Asian adults, with bilingual staff providing services to over 250 Hmong, Lao, Korean, and Vietnamese seniors.

Most of the following services include translation and interpretation in Hmong and Lao:

  • Access to transportation
  • Recreational activities
  • A weekday meal program, including a choice of American or Asian meals three days a week
  • A weekly medical clinic staffed by a community nurse
  • Health education presentations, including tobacco awareness and cessation support
  • Exercise classes
  • Citizenship assistance
  • English as a Second Language / Life Skills classes
  • Bilingual crisis line
  • Culturally competent general case management
  • Culturally competent Family Care case management for eligible seniors

Do you need a translator or interpreter? Contact our Senior Center Administrator for information about rates and availability.
